The Best Bowl of Oats

 
Here is a recipe that is very dear to myself. I have eaten this very bowl of oats for about the past year now without a single disappointment. It’s simple and requires little to no time and energy. My favorite way it is served would have to be with steel cut oats, so that is the recipe I’ll show you. To keep from getting bored though, feel free to switch between quick oats, oat bran, wheat bran, kamut flakes, or whatever floats your boat.
 
Ingredients

¼ cup steel cut oats
1 cup water
1 banana
¼ cup peanut butter
1 tbsp agave nectar
1 tsp cinnamon
1/8 cup date pieces or dried fruit
¼ cup walnuts
 
Instructions

Boil water over high heat
When water bowls, turn temp down to medium and stir in oats
Stirring consistently, cook until water has evaporated
While oats are cooking, put peanut butter into bottom of bowl
When oats finish cooking, pour over peanut butter
Stir in agave nectar, walnuts, and date pieces
Slice banana into mixture
Top with cinnamon & serve!
